Breakfast Sausage Biscuits
Elevate your breakfast routine with our savory Breakfast Sausage Biscuits recipe. Packed with savory sausage, cheddar cheese, and fresh green onions, each bite delivers a delicious blend of flavors. Perfect for a quick weekday breakfast or a leisurely weekend brunch, these biscuits are sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
STEP 1
Heat oven to 425°F. Whisk together Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix, salt and garlic powder.
STEP 2
Using a fork or pastry blender, cut in cold butter until butter is incorporated and mixture is crumbly.
STEP 3
Stir in sausage, cheese, onion onions. Add 3/4 cup buttermilk and stir until dough just comes together. Add more buttermilk, 1 tablespoon at a time, as needed. Dough will be sticky.
STEP 4
Using a #20 scoop (rounded 3 tablespoons), scoop dough onto lightly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Place in freezer for 15 minutes or the biscuits can be frozen until ready to bake.
STEP 5
Brush tops of biscuits with egg wash. Bake for 14-18 minutes. Serve warm.
TIP: Use chorizo and pepper jack cheese, or bacon and Swiss cheese for a different flavor profile.
TIP: Once raw biscuits are frozen, store in airtight container in freezer and bake as many as you like.
